Provided in the present invention is a backlight module (100) and a display device. The display device comprises the backlight module (100) and a display panel (101). The backlight module (100) comprises a light concentrator (140), optical fibers (111), an optical fiber light emergence plate (120), a light guide plate (130), and retaining rings (180). The optical fibers (111) are connected between the light concentrator (140) and the optical fiber light emergence plate (120). The light guide plate (130) is arranged at one side of the optical fiber light emergence plate (120). The retaining rings (180) respectively are sleevingly arranged onto light emergence ends (112) of the optical fibers (111), and are for use in retaining the optical fibers (111) onto the optical fiber light emergence plate (120). The present invention can utilize an external light to form a backlight source.
