PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester for a toner that can provide a wide fixing latitude.SOLUTION: The polyester for a toner is a polymer of: a dicarboxylic acid; a rosin diol represented by the specified general formula (1); and a difunctional epoxy compound.
