PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer type instrument having improved performance.SOLUTION: The pointer type instrument 1 includes: a pointer 20 for pointing indices 11 and 12 indicating a vehicle state value by rotation; a plurality of light sources 60 that are disposed in the pointer 20 and arranged so as to be mutually shifted in a rotation radial direction a of the pointer 20; and controlling means 32 that executes performance control of rotating the pointer 20 regardless of the vehicle state value at a speed at which the afterimage of the light source 60 is visible, turning on or off the light source 60 in response to the rotation angle of the pointer 20 during the rotation, and thus displaying the afterimage of a specific two-dimensional shape 62. |
