PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a crime prevention property of a battery by preventing the battery from being unrighteously removed from a load device and stolen.SOLUTION: A battery management device 100 comprises: a user authentication signal acceptance unit 20 for accepting a signal showing that a user has been authenticated; a connection detection unit 4 for detecting connection of a battery 10; a fixation/release command unit 1f for transmitting a command to a fixation/release mechanism 6 for performing fixation and fixation release of the battery 10; a fixation release instruction unit 5 for instructing fixation release of the battery 10; a reading unit 1b for reading an identification ID stored in an ID storage unit 11 in the battery 10; a deletion unit 1d for deleting the identification ID from the ID storage unit 11; and a power supply control unit 1e for controlling power supply from the battery 10 to a load 8. When accepting a signal showing that a user has been authenticated in a fixation state of the battery 10, and being instructed to release the fixation of the battery 10, the battery management device 100 causes the deletion unit 1d to delete the identification ID from the ID storage unit 11 and then causes the fixation/release command unit 1f to transmit a fixation release command for the battery 10 to the battery fixation/release mechanism.
