PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to form an image in optimal imaging conditions on various recording media, and to always obtain a high-quality image.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 200 connected to a network 500 includes: imaging condition acquisition means 205 for acquiring the type of a recording medium and imaging conditions held by an information processing apparatus 300; imaging condition operation means 207 which displays the type of recording medium obtained in the imaging condition acquisition means, and receives a selected recording medium for forming an image or a new imaging condition being set corresponding to a new recording medium imaging condition of which is not held by the information processing apparatus; image forming means which forms an image on a recording medium in the imaging condition selected by the imaging condition operation means, or forms an image on the new recording medium in the new imaging condition set in the imaging condition operation means; and imaging condition storage means 208 which stores the new imaging condition set by the imaging condition operation means in the information processing apparatus in accordance with the type of the new recording medium. |
