PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce effects of positional deviation of a plurality of head units on recording results while realizing wire saving.SOLUTION: In a liquid discharge apparatus, a head 3 includes six head units 3x, and each head unit 3x has a driver IC47. Discharge timing signals (FIR) are inputted from a controller 9 to the six drivers IC47 through discharge timing signal wires 9a. The discharge timing signal wires 9a are connected to the controller 9 as a single signal wire and branched into six signal wires in the course to the six drivers IC47, and the six signal wires are connected individually to the six drivers IC47. The controller 9 also inputs delay information indicating delay times for delaying FIRE to the six drivers IC47 through control signal wires 9b sent with waveform pattern selection signals (SIN). Each driver IC47 has a delay circuit for delaying FIRE by a delay time indicated by the delay information. |
