PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device allowing a user to select an icon at a distant position without largely moving a finger, and to reduce the number of finger movements for selecting an icon.SOLUTION: A portable electronic device detects a finger 10 present in a display variation Z area 26 above a display variation X, Y area 20 of a touch panel, and moves at a prescribed speed a whole screen displayed in a part corresponding to the display variation X, Y area 20 when the detected finger 10 is present for a prescribed duration time in the area. Then, when the finger 10 is detected to have entered a display variation stop Z area 27 closer to the touch panel 2, the movement of the whole screen is stopped. Further, when the finger is returned in a direction away from the touch panel 2 and is detected to have entered a display variation restart Z area 28 thereafter, the movement of the whole screen is restarted. |
