<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with a touch detection function capable of reducing display defect when overtaking scanning is performed.SOLUTION: A display device with a touch detection function, includes: a plurality of common drive electrodes (drive electrodes COML); a display element (liquid crystal element LC) displaying on the basis of a pixel signal Vpix and a display drive signal Vcomd; a touch detection element detecting an external approaching object on the basis of a touch-detection drive signal Vcomt; and a scan drive section performing first scan driving to apply the display drive signal to the plurality of common drive electrodes sequentially by time division and second scan driving having a scan speed different from a scan speed of the first scan driving to apply the touch-detection drive signal to the plurality of common drive electrodes sequentially by time division, in which the scan drive section applies a direct potential to the common drive electrodes not selected as the first and the second scan driving. The touch-detection drive signal includes a direct-current part P2 kept at a direct potential during the period of application of the pixel signal to the display element and a pulse part P1 during a period other than the period of application of the pixel signal.</p> |
