PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens drive mechanism that carries out zooming by moving two or more groups of movable lenses in the direction of an optical axis, the lens drive mechanism being able to drive the zoom lens by a simple, compact structure.SOLUTION: A lens drive mechanism comprises: a lens barrel having a first direct-acting groove extending in the direction of an optical axis; a cam rod provided outside the lens barrel and having a first cam groove and second cam groove on its external surface; a first holding frame having a first direct-acting cam follower that engages the first direct-acting groove, a first cam follower that engages with the first cam groove, and a second direct-acting groove extending in the direction of an optical axis, and movable in the direction of the optical axis while holding the first lens group; and a second holding frame having a second direct-acting cam follower that engages with the second direct-acting groove and a second cam follower that engages with the second cam groove, and movable in the direction of the optical axis while holding the second lens groove. |
