PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a lifetime of a display device provided by a lag of white balance in the display device having a backlight using red LEDs, green LEDs and blue LEDs as light source.SOLUTION: An LED unit 31 having red LEDs, green LEDs and blue LEDs and an LED unit 32 having only green LEDs and blue LEDs are arranged on sides of a light guide board 20. When a specified current is applied, a luminance lifetime of the red LED is the longest. Luminance lifetimes of the blue LED and the green LED are extended by applying currents lower than the specified current. However, an appointed chromaticity can be held because the number of the blue LEDs and the green LEDs are larger than the number of the red LEDs. The lifetime of a display device provided by a lag of white balance can be extended in this way. |
