PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet storage device capable of orderly accumulating sheets at a correct position in a device configuration in which a sub tray for temporarily holding sheets is arranged between a paper ejection port and a paper mounting surface.SOLUTION: A paper mounting surface is arranged inclinedly in a paper ejection direction or a paper ejection orthogonal direction, and a sheet rear end part in the paper ejection direction and first and second support members for supporting the rear end part are arranged movably between an operation position and a retreat position in a tray. After accumulating sheets on both support members, a support member located in a direction perpendicular to an inclined direction of the paper mounting surface is first retreated from on the tray, and then, a support member located in the inclined direction is retreated to a standby position. |
