PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit for an air conditioner that prevents ingress of fire into a machine room.SOLUTION: An outdoor unit for an air conditioner comprises a cabinet 1, and a protection cover 7 covering one side face part 3A of the cabinet 1. The protection cover 7 comprises an attachment part 7c provided as a part of the protection cover 7 and fixed to the side face part 3A, and a thin wall part 7f provided at a position lower than the height of the attachment part 7c and more fragile than the other portions of the protection cover 7. |
