<p>[Problem] To provide a light-receiving device, photon-detector control method and device, and photon-detector dark-count-rate evaluation method that make it possible to evaluate the dark count rate of a photon detector while said photon detector is operating. [Solution] The following are included: a Z-pulse-information detection unit (205) and control unit (204) that selectively extract the responses of photon detectors (PD1, PD2) to transmitted-light pulses of effectively zero optical intensity included in a transmitted-light pulse train; and a dark-count-rate evaluation unit (206) that evaluates the dark count rates of the photon detectors on the basis of the number of photon detections indicated by the extracted responses.</p> |
