PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head having various performances improved by the arrangement of a rib.SOLUTION: A head 2 comprises a face 4, a crown 6 and a sole 8. A rib rb is formed on an inner face of the sole 8. The rib rb has a sloped extension portion ks1 extending to approach the face side as it moves from the heel side to the toe side. The head gravity center is positioned closer to the heel side than a face center. The head 2 is hollow. Preferably, the sole 8 has a minimum thickness region. Preferably, the rib rb has a thin wall-reinforcing portion rb2 positioned at the thickness minimum portion. The rib rb may be extended in a linear form. The rib rb may be extended in a curved manner. Preferably, an inclination angle of the rib rb relative to a tow-heel direction is 10°- 45°. |
