<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing roller which is brought into contact with an image carrier with constant pressure in an axial direction, without using an abutment member, and to provide a developing apparatus, a process cartridge, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A developing roller 51 includes an elastic layer 51b formed of a conductive material on a rotary shaft part 51a to have a predetermined roller diameter. The rotary shaft part 51a of the developing roller 51 is formed so that at least an outer diameter of one axial end, which is a large-diameter part 51a2, is larger than the outer diameter of the other portion 51a1, in an axial range H where the elastic layer 51b is formed.</p> |
