<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reinforcing an optical fiber fusion splice, which is capable of reinforcing an optical fiber fusion splice in a simpler manner.SOLUTION: In the method for reinforcing an optical fiber fusion splice 113 formed by fusion splicing of optical fibers 101 of a pair of optical fiber ribbons 100 in each of which the plurality of optical fibers 101 are collectively coated, coating parts 103 on both sides in an axial direction of the optical fiber fusion splice 113 of the pair of optical fiber ribbons 100 are held by combining a pair of reinforcing materials 10 and 20 with each other, and the optical fiber fusion splice 113 is stored in a hollow part 30 formed inside the pair of reinforcing materials 10 and 20 by combining the pair of reinforcing materials 10 and 20.</p> |
