The invention relates to a rock bolt (1), in particular for use in mining, comprising a bolt tube (2), a bolt nut (9) with a first longitudinal portion (15) for inserting within a bore (25) and with a second longitudinal portion (16) for supporting a bolt plate (12), and the bolt plate (12) which is supported by the bolt nut (9) and designed to lie on the rock (24). According to the invention, the bolt nut (9) and the bolt plate (12) should require only a small installation space outside of the bore (25) with a small space between the bolt tube (2) and the bore (25). This is achieved in that the rock bolt (1) comprises an annular expanding drill bit (13) which surrounds the bolt tube (2) and which comprises cutting elements (14) in order to increase the diameter of the bore (25) at a region in which the first longitudinal portion (15) is introduced into the bore (25). |
