The motor car has a driving authority system comprising a data carrier (3) carried by a vehicle user. A motor starter (7) is unlocked by utilizing the data carrier. A sensor unit (33) is attached to the motor starter, and a trigger signal (SII) is generated by utilizing the sensor unit when performing auto-washing of a road. The motor starter is switched from one mode to another mode during existence of the trigger signal. The motor start is feasible with a non-operated vehicle brake (13) by the operation of an asynchronous operation keyboard (15). An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a motor car.
