The hydrostatic actuator (1) has a pressure chamber (3) surrounded by an elastic wall (2) that is brought from a primary position into a secondary position by an actuating element (11). The pressure chamber is connected with a fluid reservoir by an opened nozzle groove (8) in the primary position and no pressure is exerted on the hydrostatic system (4). The pressure is exerted on the hydrostatic system in the secondary position, the nozzle groove is closed and the connection to fluid reservoir is discontinued. A stop unit (12) is arranged in an opening (6) parallel to a sealing unit (7).
