<p>This organic EL element is equipped with an anode, an organic layer and a cathode provided in said order, and a low refractive index layer and a metallic layer provided in said order on the opposite side of the cathode to the organic layer. The organic EL element is equipped with a dielectric layer which is between the anode and the cathode, has a lower refractive index than the refractive index of the organic layer, and is provided with holes. The organic layer has a hole internal surface covering part that covers the internal surfaces of the holes. The cathode comprises a transparent conductive material. The refractive index of the low refractive index layer is lower than the refractive index of the organic layer. The anode is provided with anode holes that communicate with the holes. The substrate is provided with recesses that communicate with the anode holes. The organic layer has an anode hole internal surface covering part that covers the internal surface of the anode holes and a recess internal surface covering part that covers the internal surface of the recesses.</p> |
