摘要 The present invention relates to a lane recognition method capable of recognizing the location of a lane where a vehicle is located by using radar and a camera, and a system. For the above-mentioned purpose, an embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for recognizing the lane where the vehicle is located by using an object detector for detecting the location of a fixed object at the right and left sides of a road toward the direction of travel, and a video camcorder for taking the pictures of a road image. The present invention comprises the steps for: obtaining the location of the fixed object by using the object detector; obtaining the road image of the front by using the image camcorder; calculating the total width of the road based on the fixed object at the right and left sides; calculating the lane width from the road image; and calculating the current lane where the vehicle is located based on the calculated lane width and the total width of the road.
