The device has a cooking device door (10), an actuator unit (12) and a locking unit (14) for locking the cooking device door, during implementation of a pyrolysis function. The actuator unit is provided such that that the locking unit (14) is brought in contact with a corresponding locking unit (15) of the cooking device door for locking the cooking device door, when the cooking device door is closed. The locking unit (14) is rotatable around a rotational axis (16) that runs perpendicular to a door level of the cooking device door, when the cooking device door is closed.
