The present invention relates to a method to manufacture Ganoderma applanatum and a cosmetic composition containing the same as a main active ingredient and having anti-aging and skin-whitening functions and, more specifically, to a method to manufacture a Ganoderma applanatum extract which comprises: an extract manufactured using a solvent, concentrated, and freeze dried; and a cosmetic composition which contains 0.001-30.0 wt% of the extract manufactured by the same and has excellent anti-aging effect and skin-whitening effect. According to the present invention, the Ganoderma applanatum extract scavenges radicals and not only inhibits tyrosinase activity, but also provides whitening and anti-aging functional cosmetics having effective wrinkle-reducing and whitening effect.
