[Also in Divisions F4 and H5] A tank 7 of a water heater (see Divisions F3-F4) is supported on a supply and discharge pipe 5, which projects through an aperture 24 in the base of the tank, such that the tank may be slid on or off the pipe. Pipe 27 is slid over pipe 5 and has a sealing ring 29 in a groove 28, the weight of the tank 7 being borne by the upper edge 21 of an inverted hood 6 supported on the hexagonal collar 19 attached to pipe 5, the sealing of the aperture being completed by the elastic packing 32 and the spring disc 33. Relative rotation of tank 7 and hood 6 is prevented by pin 36. |
