<p>A system and a method for managing a service limit are disclosed. The system for managing the service limit comprises: a GGSN for relaying a packet communicated between a user terminal and the internet; a traffic control device for collecting traffic according to the packet, analyzing the traffic, generating traffic collection information and generating service discrimination information for checking services and subscribers; a traffic collection & processing server for calculating service usage amount information by using the traffic collection information and the service discrimination information; a subscriber limit management service for checking whether an usage amount of a subscriber for each service is over a limit by using the service usage amount information and generating a limit excess code for a limit excess service in the case that the usage amount for each service is over the limit; a subscriber information management server for generating a limit policy code which indicates that the data usage amount allocated to the limit excess service is over the limit by using the limit excess code; and a subscriber policy management server for storing policy information on each subscriber for each service and, if receiving the limit policy code, including the received limit policy code in the policy information for each service, wherein the traffic control device detects a service kind corresponding to the packet, transmits a policy query message, including the service information which indicates the service kind, to the subscriber policy management server, receives the policy information for each service, including the limit policy code, from the subscriber policy management server, and controls the service usage of a user terminal according to the policy information for each service.</p> |
