METHOD FOR PRETREATMENT OF LIGNOCELLULOSIC BIOMASS

The present invention relates to a method for pre-treating a lignocellulosic biomass. In the method, a lignocellulosic biomass and water are induced in a reactor. The reactor is heated to make the water have a subcritical condition so that hydrolysis is performed and a first liquid reactant and a second solid reactant are produced. The first liquid reactant is separated from the first solid reactant. Formic acid is induced in the reactor in which the first solid reactant is induced. The reactor is heated so that a second liquid reactant and a second solid reactant are produced. The second liquid reactant is separated from the second solid reactant.
