The present invention relates to a multi-cage-type ballast water filtering device in which multiple filtering units are packaged and connected in a body for feeding and discharging ballast water. More specifically, the filtering unit includes a filter for filtering the ballast water flowing in the body, and an automatic washing unit for backwashing foreign materials adhered on the filter. The automatic washing unit includes a discharge unit having a discharge pipe that serves as a discharge path for the foreign materials that are removed from the filter. The discharge pipe is coupled with the inside of the body to be capable of being attached and detached. The inside of the body and the discharge pipe are coated with paint for preventing corrosion. Even when the discharge pipe is connected to the inside of the body, the paint is not damaged so that coating can be easily performed in order to prevent corrosion of the inside of the body. Accordingly, the time and cost taken to produce the filtering device can be reduced.
