The station (13) has a winding shaft located on a support frame (20) that is translationally fed over a guide device (21). The support frame is translationally adjustable against a tape feed device (15) arranged in a strip control frame (11). The tape feed device supplies a strip material for the winding shaft. A transfer device (34) transfers the winding shaft from the support frame to a transportation apparatus, where the transfer device is formed independent of the support frame. The transportation apparatus is formed as a transport trolley.
