<p>The present invention relates to an ENOblock which is a non-substrate analogue having an enolase-inhibition activity and a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating cancers or enolase-associated diseases, including the same. The ENOblock directly binds to enolase and inhibits the activity thereof, and the binding is more effective in a hypoxic state than a normoxia state. Moreover, the ENOblock in the present invention inhibits migration, metastasis, and invasion of cancer cells. The ENOblock in the present invention induces glucose uptake in a cell, down-regulates PEPCK expression, and inhibits adipogenesis and foam cell formation, so the composition including the ENOblock in the present invention can be effectively used for preventing and treating cancers or enolase-associated diseases.</p> |
