PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide diagnostic equipment and a diagnostic method for an elevator door which can detect an abnormality in a driving force of a car door driving system. SOLUTION: An operating state of a car door 6 is diagnosed on the basis of a motor current flowing when a voltage is applied to an electric motor of the door driving system while the car door 6 is restrained, that is, on the basis of the magnitude of the motor current, a driving force of the electric motor 2 estimated from the motor current or the like.
