A device for attachment to a bar 20 in order to releasably secure the latter to an anchorage member such as a wall, comprises a channelsection portion 10, the side walls 11, 12 of which are formed at one end of the device with inwardly-directed shoulders 30, 31 terminating in outwardly-directed flanges 32, 33, and a lever 50 pivoted at 40 between the two flanges. The device is tilted in order to pass the flanges 32, 33 through an aperture in a plate 60 fixed to the anchorage member, and is then allowed to drop until the lower edges of shoulders 30, 31 engage the lower edge of the aperture. Once the bar 20 is inserted in the portion 10 of the device, the lever 50 is held in the position shown in Fig. 1 with its abutment 54 engaging the plate 62, thus preventing inadvertent displacement of the device from the anchorage member. The bar 20 may be held in place in the portion 10 by a pin 16 engaging registering holes in the bar and side walls 11, 12. In a modification, the abutment 54 is dispensed with and its function is fulfilled by a pin 80 (not shown) mounted between the flanges 32, 33, parallel to and below the pivot pin 40.</p> |
