Disclosed are an image analysis system performing filtering process of an image analysis filter according to the priority determined after the determination of the priority of the image analysis filter, and an image analysis method thereof. The image analysis system according to the present invention comprises a filter load amount storing unit for measuring and storing the filter load amount required when processing the image analysis filter in a computing device processing the filtering operation of the image analysis filter; a priority setting unit for setting the priority of each image analysis filter; and a priority determining unit for determining the priority using the filter load amount and priority on the image analysis filters. By using the present invention, an image analysis filter which is set to be more important than the others is set to be processed first, so that an event in the image analysis filter can be accurately detected.
