Provided are a method for purifying 1,4-diaminobutane, 1,4-diaminobutane purified by the said method, and a polyamide prepared using the 1,4-diaminobutane, the method for purifying 1,4-diaminobutane comprising the steps of concentrating a fermentation solution containing at least one among 1,4-diaminobutane and a salt thereof; preparing a basic composition having a pH of 12 or higher by adding a base to the concentrated product of the fermentation solution; and collecting 1,4-diaminobutane from the basic composition.
