Disclosed are an apparatus for preventing merchandise from being stolen for a multi-vending machine, which can perform a warning against a theft by sensing whether the exhibited merchandise provided on a lift is dropped down due to external artificial impact and allows a manager to rapidly respond to it by sending a warning message about the theft to the manager, and a method thereof. The apparatus for preventing merchandise from being stolen for a multi-vending machine comprises a merchandise sensor provided on a lift for carrying merchandise for sale to a merchandise outlet while moving up and down, to sense whether the merchandise exists on the lift; a control unit for determining a merchandise theft when a merchandise sale state is abnormal by confirming the merchandise sale state when merchandise sensor senses merchandise, to generate a warning control signal about the merchandise theft; and a warning unit for extracting warning data about the merchandise theft from a memory in response to the warning control signal generated from the control unit to output a warning sound by converting the extracted warning data into a voice sound. |
