The method involves providing a coil with first, second and third set of winding portions (136, 138, 139) where two ends of the second winding portions are electrically interconnected to two ends of the first winding portions by the third winding portions to form a coil turns of the coil. The first winding portions are applied by a three dimensional (3D) process such as aerosol jet or inkjet process. A cavity (106) is generated in a substrate (100). A core material (116) is introduced into the cavity, after introduction of the first and second winding portions. An independent claim is also included for an electronic device.
