Processing crude glycerin (1) comprises (a) producing a first intermediate product by heating the crude glycerin to a temperature suitable for distilling a first substance present in the crude glycerol exhibiting a boiling temperature of 60-80[deg] C, (b) generating a second intermediate product by heating the intermediate product from the step (a) to a temperature suitable for distilling a second substance present in the crude glycerin, and (c) filtering the intermediate from the step (b) for separating solids present in the crude glycerin to obtain a processed glycerin (30). Processing crude glycerin comprises (a) producing a first intermediate product by heating the crude glycerin to a temperature suitable for distilling a first substance present in the crude glycerol exhibiting a boiling temperature of 60-80[deg] C at atmospheric pressure, (b) generating a second intermediate product by heating the intermediate product from the step (a) to a temperature suitable for distilling a second substance present in the crude glycerin exhibiting a boiling temperature of 80-100[deg] C at atmospheric pressure, and (c) filtering the intermediate from the step (b) for separating solids present in the crude glycerin to obtain a processed glycerin.
