The present invention relates to a composition for the liquid crystal layer formation and a retarder manufactured by using the same and, more specifically, to a composition for the liquid crystal layer formation comprising a fluorosurfactant represented by the chemical formula 1 to have an excellent orientation force to enhance the hardening even in the low exposure amount and improve the productivity, and a retarder manufactured by using the same.
