[Also in Division B3] A mechanism for feeding a series of strips 20, 21 to a press, e.g. electrical connectors in strip form to a press for crimping the connectors, comprises a series of reciprocable feed fingers, e.g. 12, 13 arranged to feed one of the strips to the press, and means adjustable to prevent any one of the feed fingers from engaging the strip to advance it during the feeding stroke of the finger. As shown, the means comprise a cam plate 5 pivotally mounted at 6 and provided with chamfered edges 7 and a cranked handle 9. The plate 5 can be swung from a central inoperative position so that it extends between the working end 12<SP>1</SP> or 13<SP>1</SP> of the fingers and the edge 4 of a platform 3.</p> |
