PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which not only limits performance showing storage of lottery elements to mere presentation of the number of storage but also is available as means for communicating progress situations of symbol variation display to a player. SOLUTION: A marker M1 is not displayed in a display area X2 during variation before variation of a special symbol (A), but when prize winning to a start pocket occurs, the marker M1 is displayed in the display area X2 during variation (B), and then display forms of the marker M1 change in accordance with the progress degree of variation display (C), (D). When the variation display of the special symbol is over, the marker M1 displayed in the display area X2 during variation is not displayed, and completion of variation display is reported.
