PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact portable terminal capable of maintaining a waterproof function. SOLUTION: A portable electronic device comprises: a first casing; a second casing disposed opposite to the first casing; a first engaging part disposed on the first casing; a second engaging part disposed on the second casing at a position opposite to the first engaging part to engage with the first engaging part; a waterproof packing disposed on a surface of the second casing opposite to the first casing; and a reinforcement frame disposed on the second casing.
