PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a check valve which prevents the side end of a spring holder of a coil spring from being displaced to the output face side of the spring end and from being wound around the spring holder. SOLUTION: A valve casing 1 forms an inlet 2, a valve chamber 3 and an outlet 4. An annular valve seat 5 is provided between the inlet 2 and valve chamber 3. A valve body 6 for opening and closing the annular valve seat 5 is disposed in the valve chamber 3. An outlet side valve rod 8 is provided protrusively on the outlet face of the valve body 6. A coil spring 19 for biasing the valve body 6 to the annular valve seat 5 is provided between a spring holder 18 extending straightly in the vertical direction and the valve body 6. In this check valve, a small diameter part 23, which contacts loosely and slidably the outside circumference of the outlet side valve rod 8, is formed at the side end of the spring holder of the coil spring 19 located at the inlet face side of the spring holder 18. The end of the small diameter part 23 of the coil spring 19 can be positioned at the inside of the width of the spring holder 18 even if a shock by fall is received, so that the side end of the spring holder 18 of the coil spring 19 can be prevented from being displaced to the output face side of the spring holder 18 and from being wound around the spring holder 18.
