An animal feeding composition comprises a solid substantially homogeneous admixture of glucose or other crystallizable sugar e.g. sucrose invert sugar in an amount of at least 40% by weight and one or more trace elements, e.g. manganese (0.003-0.06%), copper (0.002-0.06%), cobalt (0.001-0.15%) and iodine (0.003-0.05%) together with iron (0.1 to 1%). The composition may include a solution inhibitor of the type described in Specifications 938,921 and 945,981, e.g. 2.5 to 10% by weight of calcium carbonate, with or without 0.5 to 5%, based on the total weight of the composition of at least one other non-toxic water soluble substance capable of forming a highly viscous solution in water such as gums, alginates, and/or pectin compounds, and in addition one or more numeral additives, e.g. compounds of calcium phosphorus, magnesium and chlorine may be incorporated. |
