Class 117 [Also in Groups XXX and XXXVI] Battery plates are fed to an assembly machine from the bottom of a pile 13 by a reciprocating stripper 65 which pushes the plates one by one through a slot formed by a part 20 of the machine and a fixed stop 19. The stripper is tapered so that the pile of plates is lifted as the lowest plate is removed. The stripper is recessed at 71 to receive parts of the stop 19 that extend into the recesses. |
