The method involves operating an electrical machine (110) of a drive device (100) in the generator mode. The continuous measurement of frequency of pendulum movement of bell is performed during generator mode, so as to attain maximum frequency. A current deflection angle of bell swing is determined. A correction factor is determined based on deviation of current deflection angle with desired swing angle. A drive parameter of correction factor is determined. The electrical machine is operated in the motor operation based on drive parameter. An independent claim is included for drive device for regulating operation of bell.
