[Object] To provide a heater in which micro-cracks are unlikely to occur even if a large current flows through an electrically conductive line, and a glow plug including the same. [Solution] The present invention provides a heater including an insulating base 1 made of ceramic, and an electrically conductive line 2 embedded in the insulating base 1. The electrically conductive line 2 contains electrically conductive grains and ceramic grains. The average grain size of the ceramic grains in the electrically conductive line 2 is smaller than the average grain size of the ceramic grains in the insulating base 1. |
