<p>Racquets, such as tennis racquets, currently employ a string net comprised of either one or two strings that is threaded through holes in the head of the racket according to a predetermined pattern determined by the hole pattern in the head of the racket. Threading or re-threading this string or strings to achieve a desired tension is a complex and labour intensive operation. According to embodiments of the invention the string net is replaced by a single pre-fabricated net of strings which is attached with a single string that is easily threaded thereby allowing replacement of the string net without complex stringing equipment. The approach allows a string net comprising complex threading patterns or high string counts to be provided without increasing the complexity of the threading operation of attaching the string net to the frame.</p> |
