Method and apparatus for monitoring the formation of deposits, such as biofilms, on surfaces which are exposed to a flowing aqueous liquid, comprising a plurality of removable containers (9) placed in a parallel, wherein each container (9) contains sample pieces, such as glas beads.
The parallel installation allows for the continuous inspection of the formation of deposits. The containers (9) can be replaced and inspected one after another, without disturbing the growth of the deposits on the other samples.
The apparatus comprises flow meters (13) and the flow rate is adjustable. |
