<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The circuit (1) has a set of drains (14) forming a closed volume, and a compressed air tank (16) that is designed to be connected to an internal combustion engine (2). The compressed air tank is arranged for compressing air to fill the compressed air circuit so as to generate a driving force. A phase shift material e.g. sodium trihydrate ethanoate, is in thermal contact with the compressed air. The phase shift material is fixed on a set of walls of the compressed air circuit. A thermal insulation is placed with regard to closed interior volume of the compressed air circuit. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a traction chain. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Compressed air circuit for use in a traction chain of a vehicle i.e. hybrid car (all claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The phase shift material is in thermal contact with the compressed air, thus avoiding large losses according to variation in temperature with ambient conditions. The circuit preserves energy generated by compression of the air in the form of air pressure stored in the interior volume and in the form of thermal energy in the phase shift material.
