The method involves generating signals from antenna elements which reflect the reception of an interested signal and parasites in the elements. A direction of parasitic sources received with the interested signal is determined in adaptive manner. A directional parasitic vector relative to the direction of the parasitic sources is constructed. A projection operator transforming the directional vectors into a null vector is calculated and applied to the signals. The interested signal is re-established by compensating a distortion in the interested signal by the application of the operator. An independent claim is also included for an apparatus for suppressing parasites in an interested signal.
