Disclosed is a method of compensating for a down-link delay, a method of compensating for an up-link delay, and an optical repeater. The optical repeater comprises a master unit connected to a daisy chain structure through an optical cable, and at least one slave unit. The optical repeater comprises a distance measurement unit for calculating a distance measurement delay time spent when a distance between the master unit and the slave unit is measured, a down-link delay compensation unit for storing a down-link delay compensating value reflecting the distance measurement delay time and delaying a down-link signal by the down-link delay compensating value, and an up-link delay compensation unit for storing an up-link delay compensating value reflecting the distance measurement delay time, and delaying an up-link signal by the up-link delay compensating value. |
